This work is in the English tradition of watercolors and focuses primarily on the landscapes and seascapes along the East Coast of Yorkshire and in particular Staithes. This fishing village set at the bottom of a rugged cliff was made famous for its large fishing fleet then an artists colony called the Staithes group set up in the late 19th and early 20th century to record the area and capture the magical east coats light.
