Current Gallery: drawings ( piece)
This is simply a collection of life drawings. In the last couple of years I've found that I love drawing the nude. At art college it seemed a pointless chore, but now, a few decades on, I'm really into it. Having just five, ten, or twenty minutes to complete a drawing, and with the possibility (probability) that the next stroke of the crayon or brush will ruin it completely is really exciting. I work in a variety of media, pencil, pen and ink, different types of crayons and watercolour. Most of my drawings incorporate more than one medium. Some are quite representational, in others I put these considerations aside and go by gut instinct. I like there to be an element of chance, accident, randomness in my drawings. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
